The Experience

The Color Reversal Booth is a fully analog portrait experience built around a custom large format 4x5 camera, and the unique Cameradactyl 4" roll paper back, utilizing traditional color reversal processing. The result is a series of oversized photobooth style portrait strips that feel substantial, tactile, and intentional.

Guests can strike playful, candid, or fashion-forward poses. Each image is carefully composed with head-and-shoulders framing, creating bold and timeless portraits.

How It Unfolds

Guests are photographed one at a time in short portrait sequences. Don't worry, we will plan the best approach with you. Once exposed, the negative strip is mounted to a rotating drum and developed live.

As the drum turns, the images slowly transform from negative to positive, shifting from black and white into full color. Guests often pause to watch the process, making the development itself a quiet moment of attention and curiosity during the event.
